This ancient practice is said to be the most valuable on the path to liberation and freedom from our social and self-imposed limitations. It is a 'process', an on-going discipline which takes time and dedication. During our meditation period we work on our ability to watch the mind and change our unhealthy thoughts and patterns with a positive connection with divinity or God. In a protected and quiet environment we intentionally go within to a place of stillness which can unfold illuminating ideas, intuitive guidance and most of all a sense of peace which carries over into our every day lives. As we work on our own selves to cultivating peace we become beacons of God's peace and light in the world. Meditation is one of the most noble practices one can undertake for ones own self improvement and enhanced quality of life as well as for our society.
Like any practice the more you give the more you receive. From experience, Maryfran can tell you this beautiful discipline when developed and practiced with reverence, love and persistent dedication, can transform your life. It brings to one increased confidence, encouragement, peace, good health, inner strength and guidance. It is a connection to the highest good for yourself, your family and society. Each class begins with simple restorative yoga poses to quiet the mind, relax the body and sooth the nervous system. You will be guided into meditation each class exploring a slightly different approach. Thoughts and experiences may be shared or just contemplated on ones own, as you choose. Taught by Mary Fran.
